Himalaya Diaper rash cream new packaging

I had done the review for the Himalaya Diaper rash cream back in September 2015, and the company has since changed the packaging. The formula and the performance of the product remains the same, I love the mild fragrance of the product, it’s perfect for babies, and absorbs into the skin easily. A little goes a long way with this product. This post is going to focus on the differences in the product then and now, so let’s get into it:

box 3

Let’s start with the packaging, Himalaya now is clearly marketing its baby care products under ‘BabyCare’ this is visible on the box and the tube. Previously it was under the umbrella of ‘herbal healthcare’. The product is herbal no doubt, but there seems to be more emphasis on the baby care aspects, and highlighting through simple marketing techniques via content on packaging.

Tube 2

New added information on the tube is that the product is; ‘Free from parabens, Mineral oil and synthetic colours’. With the growing awareness among mothers, and consumers in general, more information is always good to compare with other products in the market before venturing out to purchase something for your baby. Previously, the box and tube said that the mildness of the product was tested for baby skin, however now; it has simple points mentioned at the bottom ‘clinically tested. Hypoallergenic’. The company is also trying to reach across to consumers about its product features by simple word tags, like the one mentioned at the bottom highlighted in the signature Himalaya purple ‘Pure.Gentle.Safe’ These are all the three things we look for in a product for our little babies.

Everything else is the same, except the price. In September the product retailed for INR 85 and now it retails for 10 rupees more i.e. INR 95 for the same 50 gm pack.

So how does this make a difference to us? Price is subjective to consumers and affordability; however no other diaper rash cream is available for the price as reasonable box 4as Himalaya. Let’s face it, as long as your child is going to be in diapers, rashes are inevitable, and catering to them shouldn’t be an issue due to price. Coming to the packaging, though crowded with content, it gives all the important information right on top, you need not read the tiny font behind/on the side of the product to get to the important information. Making the decision to purchase a product for yourself is very different from the responsibility of buying for your baby. Information is everything. The box and tube are big enough to encompass all the information, and it’s designed in a tasteful manner. I love the colour combination of the purple shades and the green.

I would recommend trying this product to see if it works on your babies rashes, Himalaya makes products for the Indian consumers, at a price point that is affordable, and the best part is that it’s all herbal. There’s no doubt you will find Himalaya baby care products in general in ‘best seller’ list on websites!

Let’s celebrate Passing the HAP course!

I finished my course at HAP!! Yayii!. Received the certificate of the same on Saturday 12th, And boy was that day hectic. I know what you’re thinking! I constantly talk about my busy schedules, I am sure it’s getting monotonous at this point. Keeping this in mind I shall move on to what I wanted to actually write about. I treated myself with some online shopping.

IMG-20151213-WA0014

Note the excitement on the daughters face! That’s just ‘zoom into pricelessness moment’ She was roaring “Yayiiiii”

IMG-20151213-WA0015

IMG-20151213-WA0016

Appreciating oneself is a habit I am still developing, but when I found out that I was actually truly passing I had this intense feeling of treating myself. All the hard work, running around, studying, maintaining sanity while balancing the many responsibilities that I did, I just had to acknowledge my efforts. The icing on the cake was that I topped the last exam which was a paper submission! Felt great, that sense of accomplishment I have never felt, never topped anything! hehe

Anyway so this is what I did, I bought some make-up, a wallet, and shoes (which are on the way).

CAM00641

CAM00668

The experience of the course was great, in one word I would describe the course ‘insightful’ apart from the academic learning that took place you really do get to explore yourself, and become more aware of your behaviour and that of others. I have met some really special people, from various walks of life, women who inspire me and will continue to be part of my life. Even though I didn’t perform to my potential, there’s a lot I have learned to do better in the future in other ventures in my life.

IMG-20151209-WA0034

Dr.Diana is a great teacher, and an inspiring role model, for her high ethical standards of practice, passion for her field, and the unconditional positive regard she gives to us as her students. I highly recommend this course for all students who are in the field of psychology to broaden their view of the field, and get exposure to new thinking and learning.

The next target is to wind up my PGDiploma from IHMH. That should be a call for another mini shopping spree I guess!

What mothers can do, in an unsafe country like India

I have been through a roller-coaster of emotions and thoughts since the rape and molestation cases in India have been the buzz. I am not talking about any particular case, all rapes are wrong, there aren’t levels to it. All types of physical molestation are wrong, no matter which part of the body is involved.

I always try to look for solutions and ways of being pro-active. It is important to me that all female  humans of India keep aside their aspirations, and desires and chose to be safe than sorry. Because in the end of the day, it we who are going to be exploited. Till a change comes in this country it’s all about being safe and not raising your voice for small skirts, late nights and drunken nightlife. We have to be educated and practical.

No one is guaranteeing a change right now, not even the women. But as mothers there are several things we can do.

1. Mentor your son– In India women are treated as a liability. This thought process is most commonly seen amongst women, women are the worst enemies of women here. When the women themselves are projecting themselves and their daughters and other women in general as inferior, or as a pain or liability, then the boys/men are sent the message of ‘ go ahead and dominate all you want’. Accept it, we are at fault here. As mothers it’s important to make sure that your sons especially, know that women are human beings just like them, they are important, they are equal, they have feelings and need to be treated with respect NO MATTER WHAT. The reason why men are able to grope, or rape, or tease or molest is because they have been taught from the very beginning that the woman is a slave for the world. And women enticing men on bilboards, and movies isn’t helping either. It sends the message that woman are willing to ‘bear all’ for money and to entertain the men, and let’s not be hypocritical here. Denial isn’t getting us out of rape nation. Raise boys to become men of honour, who can create a safe environment, who respect, value and protect women.

2. Communicate with your schools– Yes!, the school, get involved, ask your school if they’re having any program for students about ‘good touch/bad touch’. Are the boys and girls being educated about basic morals of physical conduct and boundaries. Compel them to conduct such workshops at-least once and year, and have class teachers remind students about these concepts in class regularly.

3. Educate yourself– There are workshops and seminars conducted for school faculties AND parents on this topic. Go with your husband, call your friend mommies, expose yourself to the psychology and thought process behind these happenings. Learn about the symptoms, signs, and experiences of the victims. Learn how to communicate with your children, figure out how you can discuss these issues openly in your circle of family and friends and come up with solutions. Don’t chose to be ignorant about it, don’t blame the victim and think you’re safe. Advice your childs school to actively participate in such workshops, or I would suggest change the school to one that cares about your child!

4. Communicate with your kids– Keep a healthy communication with your children girls AND boys. Make them comfortable enough to be able to tell you anything and everything. Make sure you teach them about  physical boundaries, what is expected out of them in terms of conduct with the opposite gender, at school or otherwise. Build trust, tell them you won’t be judgmental, that you’ll always support them. Make sure you know who they hang out with, monitor their television, cell phone and internet usage. Remember that you’re the adult, and how positively you project adulthood will reflect in your childs enthusiasm in growing up and being one him/herself. Speak to them about good and bad touch, there are books available online to buy, visit a library, ask your school counselor to help you out. There are videos also on YouTube that can be a great aid to this communication. There’s no excuse, your resistance is going to turn into regret, if you don’t take responsibility as the adult.

5. Better safe than sorry– Make this your motto. There are many things in life we want to do, but we don’t because of a variety of reasons. The same goes with your wants to wear certain clothes, speak a certain way, live a certain lifestyle etc. just like the many things you compromise, compromise a little on this for YOUR OWN safety. Reality check: we’re not living in a perfect world. Maybe in the future there will be a time where women will feel safe wearing anything they fancy, doing anything they fancy, at any time of the day. Hopefully that day will come. But till then it’s better to be safe. Carry a can of pepper spray, it’s 100% legal, be ready to knock anyone out, you have all right to protect yourself. Mentally prepare yourself and your daughters to be safe, and this will automatically reduce the fear that we are carrying around on a regular basis. The fear is not only there because men with ugly souls are around us, the fear is also there because we know we aren’t prepared enough. The fear is there because somewhere our poor parenting is resulting in such men also.

Please be proactive, leave comments below, start a discussion, voice your opinions, share your thoughts and knowledge on such issues. Be an educated, proactive and safe mom.

Max haul

Here’s a tiny haul. I will be visiting Dubai for a month later this month and spend my new years there and well enjoy the DSF. Picked up some clothes for the little one, getting into the spirit.CAM02362

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I haven’t been buying her clothes for outside, because she’s mostly in her school uniform, and I avoid even family gatherings during the week days. So I just don’t feel the need to shop, but since the Dubai trip is round the corner I thought it’s a good time to get her some pieces for the cold there.

1. A frock, full sleeved and cool. It would look great with white or navy stockkings

CAM02359

2. A girlie r-shirt. It’s A-line and v comfy. Love the little flower detail on the shoulder

CAM02358

3. Pink hoodie!, the most essential for winters, layering is key with kids especially

CAM02356

4. The sweater in this pic. It says ‘super cute’. Again great for layering.

CAM02379

5. Skirt

CAM02357

I have to still pick up a few tees and a pant or two. Will try to find something there if I need. I know I won’t get to shop much early on because of my brothers wedding reception. Also Max has been launched on Flipkart, but they don’t have the whole collection, and sizes at max are a little tricky sometimes, so I didn’t order anything even though I was tempted, they’re having some offers too on the kids clothing.

Where do you like to haul for the kids?

heading the e-book way and reading update

It’s been long since I posted a reading update. I had made and list and everything, but I have to start working on sticking to schedules.

Anyway, the autobiography of Helen Keller was too dry for me to pick up everyday and want to read. I then decided to make a book purchase, but felt guilty. The problem was there was no time for book reading except at night right before dozing off, and my lovely daughter broke my little reading light. And I decided to venture into the e-book zone and see if it’s any good. And was I glad! Instead of wasting time watching random videos on youtube, I found the perfect solution to my no reading issue. I purchased ‘Adultery’ by Paulo Coelho, downloaded the Flipkart e-books app on my tablet.

I don’t recommend this book at all. I skipped through insanely boring paragraphs about Geneva and some historic crap, the ending is just stupid. It has very low moral value and presents the concept of adultery in the positive light. I don’t like it when authors or celebrities or anyone emphasise on ‘love’ so much that they tend to not bother about what’s right and wrong. We’re not animals, we’re human beings. Anyway, I didn’t enjoy the way it was written also. It wasn’t all that gripping, and half way through I was just reading it to finish it.

I personally feel our lives are too small to always look for ways to get lost, it’s important that we are reminded of our purpose in life which is beyond ‘love’. Anyone who believes in anything more than themselves will know the importance of thinking about others, and living  life that ends with a purpose.

Anyway I guess all of us expect different things from books. I just don’t enjoy hypocrisy.

Have you read this book?

BTW i just bought my next e-book, a rather impulsive purchase keeping in mind I should be working on my submissions. And it’s:

What have you been reading?

Shopping and book update

I went out, a very deserving outing alone…My friend wasn’t available as well, so I just had to hang out and chill away from the daughter. And well, I ended up spending. Has a few things on the list but got carried away…Lets dig in shall we?

I was at city center, and wanted to get a drum for the little one, she didn’t get the concept of it while doing homework the weekend before, So i thought she needs to experience it, even though it would cause great noise pollution. Picked it up at the toy store there.

CAM02039

CAM02045

Also picked up two white hair bands, a lunch box she’s broken hers, and also broker her water bottle, that’s second one this school year already!

Next stop Max, the daughter has suddenly grown tall, and needed a little addition to the wardrobe

CAM02033 CAM02034 CAM02036

The green sleeveless hoodie is reversible! This is her first pair of jeans, loved the tiny print detail and the colour I was crossing my fingers they’d fit and they did, wonderfully…

Dropped by health and glow, had a very strict list on here, but I also sneakily picked up a new body bath/scrub and a bubble bath for Batool from Baby Biotique. Frankly I didn’t know Baby Biotique existed!!The surprise comes from the fact that I do enjoy using the Biotique products myself. I haven’t tried it yet, still have a little bit left from the MEE MEE one. Will do a comparison post on them when I do try.

CAM02062

The scrub however is phenomenal! Yummy! smells like the first lip gloss I owned when I was in school it was called ‘wet lips’..Yum Yum….

CAM02060

Got myself a key chain by daffodils from Crosswords, picked up a cheap water bottle for the daughter who is rowdy!

CAM02028

Coming to my book I placed an order on flipkart for few things, and one of them was my book!! ‘On Dublin street’ by Samantha Young…It’s an adult romance novel, but with a proper story, and an ending, 300 odd pages finished it in 2 nights….Great read, easy, refreshing, nice. I would love to see it as a movie, with the right screenplay and cast this movie will be a great one for sure.

CAM02029

I’ve decided to try out Indian authors, and hence I have ordered ‘Sorry, you’re not my type‘ by Sudeep Nagarkar, it’s cheap 150 but Flipkarts having a discount on it (Unlike Dublin street which costed 950 nucks!!) and sounds like a fine book. I’ve per-ordered Chetan Bhagats new book ‘Half girlfriend’ as well.

I also ordered a reference book, I am having a growing inclination toward learning disabilities even though I wouldn’t dare tread that path as career, it would help me understand it better, explain it better to parents/caregivers/teachers/students etc. and also for my present diploma.

CAM02030

It’s by Meenakshi Dave and I highly recommend it to Indian parents.

Also on the flipkart order was my daughter book ‘Bruno put your toys away’, already have the rest of the books from the series, she desperately wanted it, asked me several times and I couldn’t find it at crosswords, so paid double the price because of shipping and bought it.

bruno put your toys away

I am trying to get her TV time limited, even though she doesn’t watch any cartoons, we don’t have cable, we just download selected rhymes and make CDs for her. I have to get it down to 1 hour a day with a min half gap in between. So inorder to do that I have increased book time, now we have two sessions and we go through the charts I had blogged about previously. She’s enjoying the attention too, in the spirit of entertainment sans TV I ordered a finger painting set in the flipkart order…It arrived today evening, and well she enjoyed a lot and it got messy but it took a good 45 mins off the day, and the paints almost are over, Im going to buy more paint….

CAM02055 CAM02057

As you can see, it comes with shaped sponges, tiniest pots of paint, few plain white sheets and few images to paint. For 210 plus 40 shipping I don’t recommend it, you can just buy a box of paint and give them to your child to finger paint. Nothing special in the box, a great gift though, if you have a birthday to attend want to budget it under 500! It’s not worth it otherwise.

Well that’s about it….purchased two pairs of shoes online as well…

CAM01955

CAM01957

Haven t taken a pic of the other one 😉 oops! Will note it in an outfit post….Need to get those done more often….What have you been upto?

Reading update, one down, one on it’s way

So I had decided to read more, and I am being very selective about the books I read, because I tend to not have a lot of patience for books I don’t enjoy. That being said, I have finished the Gordon Ramsay Autobiography ‘Humble Pie’, and I loved it, it was entertaining, transforming and really opened up sides to his life no one would otherwise know.

What’s next? Another autobiography ‘Bossy Pants’ by Tina Fey. She’s insanely hilarious so I am already excited to read about her journey. I’ve ordered it online on Flipkart. Just awaiting delivery.

I like the feeling of getting lost in my own little world, even though I don’t get more than ten minutes of continuous reading, it’s still worth it. Finishing a book is a great accomplishment for, so it’s a great confidence booster. Makes me feel not so detached from the world.

What have you been reading?

Purplle.com a nightmare.

I’ve been having really bad online shopping experiences lately. To the point where I have sworn off shopping online except from Flipkart.

There are some things I really hate in life, laziness and unprofessional services are two of them. I’ve decided to only buy what I must and not bother otherwise. Getting out of the house, spending money on travel, running around shops is more convenient than waiting for a website to make a delivery. Shopping isn’t meant to be a frustrating task, when you’re spending hard earned money you don’t want to wait around till someone elses like to have them delivered. And most of all you want them all delivered at the same bloody time!.

I will only make an exception for Flipkart, they keep you in the loop of delivery from the moment you place the order. I find them very trust worthy. And they always deliver before time. Yes the items arrive separately, but they ARRIVE!

I am especially pissed off at Purplle.com. They’ve just taken bad service to another level, it’s been a month. And their online tracking system is totally out of whack. The items go into ‘processing’ status and then back to ‘delayed’. I don’t know what their deal is. I have been getting 5% off coupon codes apologising for the delay, listen up!!! IT’S NOT TEMPTING ME! Why would I place an order at a website that hasn’t delivered my previous order? Why should I bother to attain the 5% discount in exchange of more stress!!

DISGUSTING. Called the customer care line, which isn’t toll free, and no customer care exec. was free to take the call, well, of course they aren’t! they’re deep in the hell hole called purplle.com trying to calm down customers like me.

What’s really sad is that there are genuine people like me who trust the website, go for prepaid shopping, and still get delayed. I’ve shopped at purplle before, this has never happened before. They don’t give proper information on delivery time, but never delayed it to a month. I’ve just had it with them. Never going to bother with this website. Maybe their trick is to ship orders that are COD first. Whatever happened to customer satisfaction.

BTW they’ve completely re-designed the website, maybe if they would invest in their actual job of delivering the products I’d be interested. Pathetic. Completely pathetic. Lets see if they bother to reply back to my e-mail with a decent idea.

The Gordon Ramsay Obsession

One thing I do just before falling asleep is watch a great load of YouTube, or TV shows I’ve downloaded. I like really shallow entertainment at night, because my brain is exhausted and just doesn’t want to be strained. My latest obsession has been Hells Kitchen US.

I love Gordon Ramsay, he’s the bomb. I used to watch Hells Kitchen a long time ago when it used to air on TV. But then forgot about it, recently I had been seeing a lot of updates on the current season (12th) on Facebook and all around on the web. So I thought ‘hmm, lets go down that lane again’ and boy am I enjoying it!. Now the new episodes air every Friday, so you can get your torrents by Sat or Sun, however I like things fast paced. I like back to back madness. So I asked the husband to download the whole of season 10, and I finished that in two to three days, staying up till 3am, then it was time for season 11 finished that last night. And I have a new found love for Gordon Ramsay.

I love the yelling, the screaming, the aggression because unlike other reality shows; this is legit. Gordon Ramsay is not the kind who can fall for overly choreographed crap. His passion for food is inspiring, it reminds you of how much you can love and dedicate yourself to something. Not only that, the contestants too are passionate, no one is hitting flukes. The moments I love the most about the show is when he gifts the challenge winners cookware, and knives. That’s amazing, the look on their faces for utensils, that’s what a true lover of cooking is. A true chef. And the cocky smile on his face when he’s making them do ridiculous punishments, hysterical challenges and pulls pranks on them.

Much respect for anyone who inspires you to have command over your career, you can demand respect, when you truly own expertise in a field. It’s about working hard, valuing the hard work of other, and moving forward with faith no matter how many failures you encounter. Gordon Ramsays energy is contagious, he makes me want to work harder and faster. It’s about being quick, and precise, maintaining standards, being yourself and not apologising for it.

While I am exhausted after watching two seasons back to back, I am going to take the sane persons route and watch an episode a week as it airs, and on my next book buy list is the biography of the chef himself ‘Humble Pie’. I am excited about that, found it on flipkart too, my go-to online book hauling site. Here’s a fantastic review of the book.

I haven’t ever read a biography, I’ve only checked out information online, but never read cover to cover. So I am excited to read this one. I am looking to forming a regular reading habit and not the audio books, physically READING, books. It’s been long, and it’s one of my goals this year; to get into the swing of regular reading, especially exploring works I haven’t ever tried.

So mommies (or non-mommies), what do you think about Gordon Ramsay? What are your current favourite reads? Leave comments below, I’d love to know about you wonderful readers!

Online shopping in Hyderabad

Shopping, yes, we women love it. But getting your ass out of the house with a child, or even without the child is a big issue. At-least for me it is. Malls in Hyderabad are not children friendly, no diaper changing tables, no feeding chairs, nothing. It’s almost like the malls want the moms to stay at home or get out sans child.

In my case, I live in the dear old city, everything is FAR away, and my daughter loves shopping but half way through our ride she’s exhausted and wants to get out of the car, and by the time you reach your shopping destination you have a cranky little person with you. I have had my very frustrating days, I like to get my daughter used to a certain lifestyle, so that she knows how to act and react in public. So far it has worked, but when it comes to shopping for myself, I prefer the peace of my mind, and the luxury to look around before buying anything.

In comes the online shopping to rescue my sadness. I have tried a couple of websites for various products, not just for myself but my daughter and husband. Recently I’ve been on a shopping fit. I am treating myself to holiday, and also returning myself for all the hard-work I put in last academic year of both my Sunday school and volunteer work at Focus High School. Lets start shall we?

1. Shoppers stop– This was my first online purchase, and it was a bag from FCUK. And since I was an amateur I opted for COD. They do a good job. Since then I haven’t made a purchase but have my wishlist filled with items. I browse through the website pretty regularly.

What I like: There’s a lot of variety on this website. Especially in the household category.

2. Flipkart– This is my holy grail for books. I’ve bought a tablet and other electronic items too. But hands down Flipkart has the best selection of books, even crosswords online website doesn’t have the books that Flipkart does. From fiction to non-fiction, to reference you name it and they have it. I’ve bought books for my daughter from flipkart and many of my psychology text books. Also shopped for stationery like files and notebooks from here. They have brands that are otherwise not available here in Hyderabad. I purchased a fun notebook for myself, and a present for a lovely friend from there. Will do a post on that later.

What I like: They have offers, and the notification, tracking of order and website is very organised. It makes it super reliable. Ive tried COD and pre-paid with Flipkart and have been more than satisfied. The packaging is very safe and prices are good.

My issue: Because Flipkart is mainly the portal that brings together various sellers, you are very much likely to receive each product on your order separately. Secondly, if the sellers are different the shipping charges are based on each seller not your whole order. So basically you may end up paying more, and have the deliveries going on for weeks, this can be annoying if you’re not at the shipping address all the time, it may also bug the person collecting the order at home. It psychologically makes you feel you shopped for more than you did. It can get border line annoying.

3. Purplle– Beautuy haven. I have shopped more than a couple of times and it’s my go to website to search for products not found in stores here. There are many brands that are affordable and do a great job, but just haven’t reached the Hyderabadi or even Indian market yet. Loving purplle for that. The website is very user friendly.

What I like: The enormous variety and constant offers. The packaging is sturdy and you have both prepaid and COD options. However I have always opted for the former.

My issue: Tracking your order. You have no information regarding the delivery time in the product description. Not only that after you’ve paid for the order you will not know when you will receive it, their order modification option is crappy, and updates are a joke. They recently added a little more direction on their website for tracing order but it’s still not satisfactory. Shipping the same order separately is just annoying. When I place an order for a few products the excitement is to get ALL of them together. That’s what gets me excited. the quantity.

What I like- I am a youtube junkie, so if I hear a beauty guru talk about a product and I know it’s a never heard brand in India I simply log on to purplle they will most probably have it. Their cart is very manageable and easy to check products on and delete them. I enjoy the shopping part because of the variety, even though more would always be appreciated.

Refer my new post on hating Purplle.

4. Jabong– I placed my first order with Jabong a week or two ago. And while I like the range of the products they provide I mainly liked the prices as compared to purplle. I only made cosmetics purchase a post on that coming soon. But they didn’t have one of my orders and it was constant sms alerts and emails regarding the issue. I wasn’t happy. The whole excitement of shopping just goes away.

My issue: The Javas service was crappy, the delivery guys spoke like animals and weren’t professional. My order got broken down into 4 pieces when I only ordered for 5 items. That’s annoying.

What I like: Compared to purplle for my recent purchase Ive noticed better prices and products. I was looking for a specific product and couldn’t find it at purplle. So had to shift the whole order to jabong just to get it together from one website. They recently added the Dorothy Perkins brand to their website which I am crazy exited about.

5. Mango–  This brand has the most lovely on trend products. And since the GVK One store has stopped stalking a lot of the accessories I was very exited to make a purchase from here. The website is inspirational to browse through.

My issue: No COD or Debit card payments, only credit card payments are accepted. That’s a BIG issue. And delivery charges are only exempted on a purchase of 6500 or above. That’s not a small amount. I can imagine young college girls saving up money to buy from Mango, they should lower it to improve sales.

What I like- well the products, the way they are packaged and sent, it’s all impressive. The sales on the website are insane!! I actually recommend to wait till sales but act fast as soon as they’re on, because those things fly off! Mango sales are the best.

6. Snapdeal– My husband had made an electronic purchase from here and well that’s about it. Not much to say, i was satisfied, it was a COD purchase and everything arrived safely and on time. I haven’t ever browsed through the website myself but do plan to.

7. Bigbasket– Basically delivering groceries to your door. In old city you definitely need this. Esepcially since the humble more store near my place got shut down, this has been a life saver.

My issue: I have always opted for COD with bigbasket, because it’s grocery, and there are major chances of a screw-up because these people deliver massive amounts of groceries to people in their trucks. And once and only once they had missed one of the items on the list and didn’t take the payment for it. So I was glad that I hadn’t paid in advance. I recommend COD for bigbasket unless someone else is going to receive the order. I also highly recommend going through the delivery religiously, the delivery guys are human they may miss something, but you don’t want messed up groceries!.

What I like- It’s got a decent variety. I really like the option of poultry and meat that is halaal, very important. Also the delivery charges are only Rs.50, very practical for the genre of products. You can select your time slots which is a very wise option to have especially if everyone at home works.

There are other websites that I have my eyes on like forever new, Zara, fab furnish, babyoye, etc. for various reasons and products.

I will be putting up a post on a collective haul, the stuff I’ve been purchasing over a couple of months but have been lazy to post right away. Also I am waiting on delivery on some orders.

What are your go-to online shopping stops?
